Making of Form and Order
The main objective of this project was to create a non denominational church with the intention to mold the walls to bend natural light as needed. The chapels are inspired by different architects learned about in class.
Background
The building that was assigned to me was Notre Dame du Haut, by Le Corbusier. This was constructed in 1955 in Ronchamp, France and was made as a Roman Catholic Chapel.
In the interior you can see the different styles that was used by Le Corbusier. He used the thicker walls to his advantage to gain the ability to control the light. He also uses a space between the roof and the top of the wall to let light in.

In the picture below is a view of the bell tower taken from ground level. The bell tower is used as a light cannon in which it is used to let light in and control it with the curved walls.

Site Plans and Sorting
After completing my campus analysis of the circulation and sun angles I was able to properly decide where to place my building, I chose this area because of the amount of light that would be on the building throughout the day and easy access to the building based off of previous circulations.
